Cottages in Cropton

Surrounded by glorious countryside and wondrous woodlands Cropton is the perfect place to take in the wonders of Britain’s natural world.

Bordering the mesmerising North York Moors National Park, the village of Cropton is located in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire; perfect for exploring the North Yorkshire heritage coast and Moors.

Meander along trailing pathways through luscious countryside and explore the peaceful Cropton Forest nearby. All routes cater for a variety of walkers and you can choose from a short 1 mile walk suitable for pushchair/wheelchair users to longer tracks suitable for cyclists or the more determined walker, the longest being 10 miles. If you're a fan of golden ale then you must visit The New Inn and its parent company Cropton Brewery located on the same site. These local breweries produce the famous ‘Two Pints’ brew, which can be purchased in bulk to take home or enjoyed with a meal in the pub restaurant.

Less than 15 minutes drive away is the market town of Pickering with its pretty railway station, indoor flea market and many sumptuous restaurants and cafes. If you’re bringing the children, or if you’re a bit of a kid yourself, you may wish to visit Flamingo Land, a combined zoo and theme park which is less that 20 minutes from Cropton.

Our properties in this area range from beautiful old abbeys to modern stone built cottages, spacious converted stables or character cottages with open fireplaces. Details are listed below and should you have any questions or wish to book, please call us on 03333 2020899.
