Well equipped charming property in an ideal location for the Moors, Rievaulx Abbey and Castle Howard. Supermarket and petrol in Kirkbymoorside. We had a very enjoyable stay with very little driving.

A beautiful spot. Peaceful, comfortable and secluded but within easy reach of surrounding towns and the coast. Patchy phone signal but that's a national infrastructure issue. Plenty of wildlife and stars on clear nights. We were made very welcome.

Lovely cottage on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Quiet, peaceful setting, yet close to local dining and shopping. House makes good use of the available space, plus the outdoor area makes for a nice place to enjoy if the weather is cooperating.

We, a family with 2 kids, have enjoyed our week at the Waterswallow cottage. The cottage is quaint and very comfortable. Its location perfect for hikes on the moors, the proximity to many pretty small villages, the steam train in Pickering and many other activities. The owners are very accommodating and friendly.

A fantastic quiet place to relax with everything provided. As it is in a central place it is perfect to visit places in all directions like York, Whitby, Scarborough, and up in the beautiful Moors. I would definitely recommend it to others and return myself.
