Footpaths and bridleways link the property to the nearby villages of Appleton-le-Moors and Gillamoor and the market town of Kirkbymoorside, and the owners (who live next door) provide maps and are happy to advise on the best routes and places to visit. The Yorkshire Coast, York and the Yorkshire Wolds are within easy reach for a day out.
The cottage is a converted barn and retains a great deal of its old character and charm with exposed beams and feature stonework. Visitors are sure to appreciate the tasteful decoration and comfortable furnishings in this well-equipped property. There is a private garden with bench overlooking the wooded valley, providing exceptional peace and quiet for a relaxing holiday.
