The Gables is a beautifully presented one bedroom apartment. Perfect for a couple looking for a relaxing getaway with everything on your doorstep. Wander down the streets of Porthleven and you will find the quaint harbour with a great selection of local shops, deli's and eateries. After a busy day step into The Gables light and airy open plan living space, perfect for lounging around in after a day enjoying the beach. Why not take a short drive a bit further afield to explore the surrounding area and head to the picturesque St Michaels Mount, a historic castle on a tidal island. At low tide you can stroll across the causeway where a legendary giant once walked or at high tide catch a boat. The Gables truly is is a perfect location to explore the corners of the South Coast or to enjoy a relaxing Cornish break.

UPPER FLOOR APARTMENT - ACCOMMODATION ALL ON ONE LEVEL:

GARDEN & PARKING: Parking for one car. in designated space (labelled GBL).   Outdoor patio with table and two chairs. Outside shower attachment (shared with Torleven House) for rinsing the sand off after a day at the beach and an allocated bucket for wetsuits, swimming costumes and shorts. Outbuilding with shared Laundry Room facilities: Washing machine and tumble dryer. Shared with occupants of Torleven House.

Power and Heat: Electricity and heating included in rent. Heated towel rail in bathroom.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
Baby Equipment: None provided. Please bring your own or look at our hire page.

The Gables is in a good location and very comfy in every way. Dedicated car parking really helped us too. The washing machine and dryer came in handy as we'd already been away for a week elsewhere before we got to Porthleven. Our 2nd stay, and very nice it was too!

Lovely clean and well equipped spacious cottage, well placed in Porthleven to explore the local area. Parking is also a bonus.

One of the best equipped and presented cottages we have been to. Great location literally a few minutes walk to the harbour, shops and restaurants/pubs. A brilliant week.

A Beautiful fully equipped clean cosy cottage in a great location, close drive to local coastal resorts. Literally five minutes walk to restaurants, shops, pubs. Driveway is a little on the tight side if you have a huge car width wise. We have a Peugeot 3008 which was ok. We would definitely stay at the Gables again. Loved everything about it..

Very well equipped property in a central location. The parking space was a bonus although a bit tight. The cottage was beautifully clean and comfortable with attractive original features.

It is in a prime location to the harbour (2 minutes walk). You walk in and immediately know that the property is exactly what you were looking for - only shame it was just for a week for me. Porthleven is vibrant with so much to see and do, and is a great base to explore/ re-explore this part of Cornwall. Well worth the six hour drive from Essex, wRead moreill be coming back again soon. Everything was to a high standard which we were expecting and location was perfect being so close to the harbour, beach and many lovely restaurants. The reason for the 4 score on booking again is only because we hope to visit many other places /countries and may not return to Cornwall very soon.
