As featured in Cornwall Life, February 2019, Fair View is a stylish self-catering cottage in Porthleven boasting awe-inspiring views which will captivate and delight. This luxury retreat overlooking the beach is the perfect luxury escape for families and friends looking for some relaxation by the sea. The cottage has everything you could wish for to make your stay one you will remember forever; a woodburner in the lounge for cosy nights in reading a book or watching the dramatic waves crash on the shore, a sunny courtyard for al fresco dining and an additional loft room with two angled floor to ceiling gable windows with views of the beach, cliffs, harbour wall and what seems like endless sea and sky. There is also a dormer window with views over roofs to the Lizard Peninsular.

Set in the middle of a huge sweeping bay, the beach at Porthleven is ideal for a relaxing family holiday and has arguably the most impressive harbour in Cornwall. Small fishing boats land their daily catch in Porthleven, much of which is sold in Porthleven cafes and restaurants and the award winning Quayside fishmongers. When you are ready for an adventure, enjoy day trips to Lands End and the Cornish Seal Sanctuary and return home to your very own luxury cottage.

GROUND FLOOR:
Kitchen: Range cooker with ceramic hob, steam oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, washer/dryer, door leading to the courtyard.
Lounge/Diner: Flat screen TV, Sky HD, woodburner, sofas, oak dining table and sideboard, Bose sound system, sea views.

FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom 1: Super kingsize bed (6'), wardrobe, chest of drawers, chair and shutters on windows with wide ranging sea views.
Bedroom 2: Double bed (4'6"), TV, bedside tables, built in wardrobe and chest of drawers, hairdryer.
Bathroom: Large walk-in shower, freestanding bath, circular sink, heated towel rail, WC.

SECOND FLOOR:
Loft Room: Two floor to ceiling windows with stunning sea and harbour views, Smart TV with Netflix, sofa and chairs, woodburner effect fire.

GARDEN & PARKING: Sunny enclosed courtyard with charcoal BBQ, table and chairs with brolly for al fresco dining. No private parking but public parking available at The Shrubberies car park and out of season parking on the beachfront.

Changeover Day: Friday– arrival 4:00pm – departure 10:00am. (from 25th August 2023 - arrival 6:00pm – departure 12:00pm.)
Pets Welcome: Maximum 2 medium-sized; £25 per pet per week. Information about bringing your pet.
Power and Heat: Electricity and heating included in the rent. Central heating throughout. Woodburner lounge, logs provided from 1st October to 31st March .

Lovely house with views across Porthleven beach and the harbour entrance. No parking so be mindful of this!

The amazing and stunning view from the loft room is a wowwee moment. The huge master bed is glorious to sleep in and to fall asleep to the soothing and comforting sounds of waves lapping on the shore is incredible. Kitchen has a good supply of equipment. We really enjoyed our stay in Porthleven, good range of shops and eating places. no problem parking at this time of year, i do feel though that the property needs a good facelift it seems slightly neglected in the maintenance department. Unhappy that had to supply our own logs at this price level - they should be included as states on the websites.
