Mawgan Porth holiday cottages

Mawgan Porth is the perfect little idyll on the north coast of Cornwall. Situated approximately midway between Newquay and Padstow. Much more low-key than its neighbours, Mawgan Porth is the perfect North Cornwall option for visitors who want to enjoy a slower pace but still enjoy all the spoils of the stunning Cornish north coast. We have a large range of holiday cottages in Mawgan Porth for you to choose from, many of which are luxury properties, handpicked due to their exquisite design, home comforts and sea views. We also have many dog-friendly properties in the area, which is great news for those who wish to bring all kinds of guests, including the furry ones!

Dog owners will be delighted to hear that Mawgan Porth Beach is dog friendly all year round. Located on the South West Coast Path, there are also a number of cliff-top and shoreside walks for you and your pup to take near Mawgan Porth. One particularly popular route is the walk to Padstow, which goes past the Bedruthan Steps. According to legend, the Bedruthan Steps were stepping stones for the Giant Bedruthan, but today they make for a great photo opportunity.

Mawgan Porth Beach is arguably its biggest attraction and has everything you could possibly need for a memorable beach day. With sandy shores perfect for sunbathing and building sandcastles, rockpools and caves to explore, a large stream running down the south side and great surf for watersports enthusiasts, this beach has something for everyone. Watergate Bay is also nearby.

Mawgan Porth village also has a number of pubs and restaurants for when you fancy a break from self-catering, as well as shops for when you need to stock up on meals and snacks in your cottage. If you’re here on a couple’s trip, or you’ve booked for a special occasion, The Scarlet Restaurant may intrigue you. With an ever-changing set menu filled with delicious local produce, organic food and seasonal wines and a dining room overlooking the sea, this restaurant is perfect for a night to remember. The Wild Cafe is perfect for children, who are treated to their very own set menu, while the rest of Mawgan Porth is dotted with seafood, fish and chips, pizza and coffee and cake options.

So all that’s left to do is pick your stay, book and plan!
