Cottages in Combe Martin

Combe Martin in North Devon cherishes its own little private beach, sheltered from wind and wave, it's a popular sandy spot for locals, visitors and families alike.

Close to the heart of the action, Combe Martin Beach offers a sandy retreat near the high street and all the bustle of everyday life. If you’re looking for a quieter spot close to the bright lights of Ilfracombe and Damien Hirst’s ‘Verity’, then Combe Martin is the coastal village perfect for you!

It once offered its visitors nine watering holes! Today, the need for beer seems to have reduced significantly and only a handful of pubs can provide a thirst quenching delight to wet your whistle. Ye Olde George and Dragon is a watering hole steeped in over 400 years of history and the Pack O Cards Inn is a homage to a successful gamble where the gentleman George Ley built the property to reflect a pack of cards (oddly enough)! The property once had 52 windows, 13 rooms and 4 floors and today, it serves up tasty treats in its stunning riverside garden and fantastic children's play area.

For days out and off the beach, the village is home to one of North Devon’s largest attractions; Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur park, a popular family attraction set in 28 acres of parkland and beautiful gardens. The park is also home to meerkats, penguins, reptiles and lions - a great day out for all the family! Its proximity to Ilfracombe (and Berrynarbor) also lends itself to families of all ages, as in this Devon Victorian seaside town you will find a hive of activity, beaches, shops and eateries providing a wealth of entertainment for the older ones amongst the flock.
