Take a trip to Lynton and Lynmouth (11 miles) and ride on the funicular railway that separates these 2 pretty Devon villages, with a plethora of independent shops, tearooms cafes and restaurants or enjoy a game on the putting green. The North Devon coastline has many award-winning beaches, all within 16 miles, with beautiful golden sands, a mecca for surfing, swimming and other watersports. Keen golfers will be spoilt for choice with many golf clubs within 18 miles and open to visitors. Other places of interest are Woody Bay Railway station (8 miles) and Arlington Court, part of the National Trust, only 5 miles.
