Cottages in Sedlescombe

Sedlescombe is one of 1066 Country’s hidden gems. Deep in the East Sussex Countryside, Sedlescombe is a peaceful, remote village that is still just a ten-minute drive from historic Battle and only 20 minutes from Hastings on the coast. Sedlescombe is also home to one of our most unusual self-catering properties, The Corn Bin, which is a lovingly converted grain house. This luxury holiday home for two is perfect for a unique romantic getaway and even comes with a private garden and provides guests with a truly memorable stay. Our other Sedlescombe holiday cottages are equally delightful and are also pet-friendly, so every member of your holiday party is welcome!

Sedlescombe may be near Hastings and Battle, two of East Sussex’s most treasured holiday spots, but it also has plenty to see and do on the days you feel like keeping it local. The Sedlescombe Golf and Country Club offer 18, Nine and Three-hole courses for you to book onto for the day and also have an onsite restaurant and bar for you to kick back, relax and unwind after your game. If you’re a true golf fanatic, you may also want to extend your membership with them for a few days or the whole week.

Sedlescombe Organic Vineyard is the village’s most popular attraction, welcoming around 5,000 guests a year. Perfect for couples or groups of friends, the vineyard hosts a range of tasting tours for you to choose from. Another great way to experience the vineyard is on Sedlescombe’s Bluebell Walk, a four-mile circular route starting at the Parish Church and taking you through Beech Wood and the vineyard itself. The route is clearly waymarked and boasts some lovely country views that are ideal for a holiday snap
