Northumberland has an award-winning AONB heritage coastline with picture postcard seaside villages and towns dotted along this stunning stretch of North East coastline including Alnmouth, Warkworth and Amble and stunning countryside walks and cycle trails are readily accessible in nearby towns and villages such as Wooler, which lies at the foothills of the Cheviots and beautiful riverside villages like Rothbury which offers easy access to the Simonside Hills and the National Trust’s impressive Cragside House Estate and Gardens, former home of the Victorian inventor, Lord Armstrong.
