Craster is set in the Northumberland Coast National Landscape, with vast expanses of golden sand, rugged cliffs and a clutch of magnificent historic castles, all within easy reach. Take a stroll around the village’s picturesque harbour, see its famous, old-established kipper smokehouse and enjoy a seafood lunch at the traditional pub. Walk to the spectacular ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle (1.5 miles) along the rocky headland and the huge, golden sandy beach at Embleton Bay (4 miles), ideal for surfing, kite-flying, picnics and rock-pooling, is a short distance away. Keen golfers can enjoy splendid views from the Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Club.
