Cottages in Holt

Holt is nothing if not smart, glorious and genteel. It is the go-to destination for any discerning visitor to the North Norfolk Coast and indeed, Norfolk

Famously handsome, this market town offers a pretty myriad of Georgian buildings, alleyways and courtyards, all housing independent shops, antique centres, eateries, galleries and coffee shops. Attracting artists, photographers, walkers, writers and day trippers alike, it is a town for all seasons and all interests. The Christmas Lights Switch On and the Summer Holt Festival are just some of the popular events that take place here, with guests such as John Hurt and Stephen Fry being an annual affair.

Holt is considered the starting point to North Norfolk’s ‘golden triangle’, taking you on to the equally pretty Georgian towns and villages of Wells-next-the-sea, Cley, Holkham, Sheringham, and Burnham Market, all of which offer elegance, seaside air, swathes of fields and miles of sandy beaches. Holt is also backed by Holt Country Park, offering 100 acres of woodland, picnic areas, nature trails and an adventure playground. There is something for everyone in this little town, with bustling activity all year round where you can idle hours away, whatever the weather.

Take in a slice of Holt’s charm, dip your toes in the nearby sea, enjoy the North Norfolk vibe and book a cottage in Holt. Who knows, you may even bump into the Duchess of Cambridge!
