The Mizen Head Restaurant’s fine dining menu is mainly fish lead, using fresh, local ingredients and creating seasonal menus and an extra menu for vegetarians. They are also offering a casual lunch menu including different pastas, tasting boards and traditional fish and chips.

The Mizen Head offers a classic roast beef on Sunday and you have the choice between nearly 80 different wines to go with your meal.

The Copper Kettle sits right in the heart of Bamburgh village serving a broad range of home cooked and fresh sandwiches, light meals, a brunch menu and a vast array of cakes and scones - and, of course tea and coffee.

The tea room was voted #1 Café in Bamburgh, but also came in #3 place for restaurants in the TripAdvisor ranking. The Copper Kettle consists of two rooms and a patio inviting you to sit outside when the weather allows it. Inside, you will find mahogany panelling and dark-wood furniture which gives of a cosy, history loaded atmosphere. 

The Bamburgh Castle Inn: An award winning traditional pub

The Castle Inn is a traditional pub overlooking the harbour in the village of Seahouses with a garden in the back. It has been named Tourism Pub of the Year 2015 in the North-East England Tourism Awards.

The pub is offering gluten free options and is vegetarian friendly, too, serving mostly traditional pub food using local, fresh ingredients.

This is a great place if you’ve got a sweet tooth. The Wyndenwell does award winning ice cream, cakes and biscuits, but also paninis if you’re looking for a small savoury treat.

The Apple Core is a family owned restaurant that specialises in mediterranean dishes such as pizza, pasta and meat meals.  They also offer traditional French crepes and galettes for desert.

The restaurant is actually a converted school and, foodwise, a rather unique find in Bamburgh as it’s not specialising in seafood. It’s offering both vegetarian and vegan options and also gluten free food.
