Amble holiday cottages

We have a varied range of lovely Amble cottages providing stylish, bright and spacious self-catering accommodation for guests eager to make the most of a beautiful part of Northumberland. Lying near the mouth of the River Coquet as it flows out into the North Sea, the cheery fishing port of Amble is home to the annual Amble Puffin Festival and has a wide choice of welcoming holiday cottages and properties including cosy and stylish bungalows, tastefully updated waterside apartments, spacious townhouses and characterful traditional cottages. Making a wonderful base for beach lovers, water sports fans, nature spotters and keen walkers, Amble is also known for its thriving harbour, popular seafood restaurants, busy marina and colourful beach huts lined along a charming beach.

Amble lies at the southern end of the magnificent Northumberland Coast National Landscape, which offers glorious walks to the north. Numerous picturesque seaside resorts are dotted along the coast, including Craster, Beadnell and Dunstanburgh, home of the ancient remains of the imposing medieval Dunstanburgh Castle. A little way inland, the popular market town of Alnwick has a long history going back to the Middle Ages and is known for the spectacular Alnwick Garden and the equally stunning Alnwick Castle. Heading inland to the west, Brinkburn Priory dates back to the 12th century as you make your way towards the glorious expanses of the breathtaking Northumberland National Park. Other local attractions include Northumberland Zoo, the Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre and the tranquil Druridge Bay Country Park. For more cottage stays, take a look through our retreats in Bamburgh, our Seahouses holiday homes, or our Craster properties – or browse our full range of Northumberland holiday lets.
