The fine sandy beach at Bamburgh stretches south to Seahouses, perfect for a brisk walk. From Seahouses, boat trips leave from the harbour out to the Farne Island. Budle Bay is home to a wide variety of native and migratory wading birds. The many historic castles which are a feature of this part of Northumberland are all within easy reach by car. Wind surfing, sailing, horse riding and fishing can be enjoyed locally and the area has several splendid golf courses.
