This charming, terraced cottage is perfect for a small family or group of friends to enjoy a relaxing seaside holiday together. Located on a quiet residential street in the lively little village of Bamburgh, all of its amenities are on your doorstep, and with a great range of shops to browse along with friendly pubs and restaurants, you’ll be spoilt for choice. The sandy beach is less than half a mile away and the imposing castle is very much a presence in the village. Walkers will enjoy striding out along the beautiful Northumberland Heritage Coast with mile upon mile of trails to follow. The causeway connecting the mainland to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne is 14 miles away and visiting it makes a wonderful day trip. The interesting border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed is 19 miles north and the attractive fishing village of Seahouses is just 3.5 miles to the south.

The cottage has a warm and welcoming feel throughout. A cosy living room features seating gathered around a wood burner effect fireplace and patio doors opening to the garden with views of the castle beyond. The charming open-plan kitchen/diner is the heart of the house and is ideal for sociable cooking and dining with an island breakfast bar and a dining table. Another set of patio doors open on to the front garden and flood the space with natural light. A set of open stairs in the living room leads up to the first floor, and here guests will find a beautifully presented king-size bedroom with stunning panoramic views of Bamburgh Castle. There is also a pretty twin room and a polished modern bathroom featuring a shower over a bath.

Outside, guests will find two pretty enclosed gardens to the front and rear of the home. The sheltered front garden is a little smaller with a lawn and a patio area set up with furniture. A hedge with to fence along one side surrounds the garden. Located directly outside, this patio is ideal for al fresco dining in the sunshine. The back garden is longer, mainly laid to lawn and enclosed by a fence with a stone wall to the rear. At the far end, guests will find a picnic table and chairs as well as magnificent views of the castle. There is also a BBQ available for guests to use.

This is a super cottage. The property is well maintained , very comfortable, cosy and the thought that has gone into detail of fixtures makes this property very special. We have booked to return in 2026 . The location in the Village of Bamburgh is excellent. We loved our break away at this property.

The cottage has been beautifully renovated with no expense spared. The location is amazing, and being able to gaze at the castle while lying in bed made my week. The beds were comfortable and everything you might want or need for a relaxing stay is provided. One niggle was parking. There are no allocated spaces and with residents, workmen, and visiRead moretors, more cars than there is parking. It's a first-come-first-served basis, so if you have mobility issues and need to park close to the cottage, you might be out of luck. Parking in Bamburgh in general is difficult, although there is a long-stay car park near the castle if you don't mind a walk. Overall, I would recommend Finn Cottage for anyone looking for a relaxing week by a superb beach. Can't rate the cottage highly enough. Hide
