A perfect haven for immersing yourselves in the spectacular Highlands, this Scottish retreat benefits from an enviable position on the shores of Loch Rannoch. Sleeping eight guests, the three-bedroom retreat is set with other holiday hideaways on a private, wooded estate at Kinloch Rannoch, 18 miles from Aberfeldy and 25 miles from Pitlochry. Guests can savour the serenity of the 7-acre grounds or get out and about in scenic Perth and Kinross. Stroll alongside freshwater Loch Rannoch, perhaps following a section of the 5-mile Rannoch Forest Trail, or venture into Tay Forest Park, 2.5 miles away, to follow footpaths and spot wildlife. Alternatively, hire canoes or kayaks and set off to appreciate your wonderful surroundings from the water. Scenic Loch Tummel, 7.5 miles, is worth a visit or take in the far-reaching views from Queen’s View Visitor Centre, 14 miles.
Spend quality time together in the spacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Gather on the comfortable sofas to watch TV or play a hand or two of cards at the table, which is up one shallow step in the kitchen/dining area. The kitchen has been designed to ensure you have all the equipment you require to cater for your party with ease, plus a good-sized dining table. The airy living space, with its vaulted ceiling, leads through to a light-filled conservatory, where you can unwind together as you take in the beautiful vistas out across Loch Rannoch, with the sliding doors to the Juliet balcony pulled back on sunny days. By prior agreement, two members of your party can also sleep in the lounge on a pull-down double griffin bed. Everyone else can rejuvenate in one of the homely double bedrooms. Each of these has zip-and-link beds that can also be set up as twins if discussed in advance. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom, and there are two family shower rooms for everyone else to share. This property comes with its own sauna for your relaxation.
While there’s no dedicated outside space, guests can enjoy the fresh air and glorious scenery from the comfort of the conservatory. Four-legged friends can savour the sunshine on long walks through the wooded 7-acre grounds. There is also a neighbouring restaurant and bar. Charges may apply for leisure activities. Guests have free parking in the car parks on site on a first come, first served basis.
