On the shores of Loch Rannoch, this pet-friendly property offers the perfect mix of relaxation and outdoor adventure. It’s ideal for a couple or small family who enjoy walking, water sports and getting out in nature. Located within a holiday complex in the tranquil village of Kinloch Rannoch, the apartment is surrounded by hills and pine forests, with an abundance of wildlife to spot, including red squirrels, pine martens and red deer. Seasoned hikers will relish the challenge of climbing up ‘fairy mountain’ Schiehallion, but there are plenty of gentler walks if you prefer to take it steady. To experience one of the UK’s most spectacular rail journeys, drive to Rannoch Station (16 miles) and take the West Highland Line to Mallaig. Head 18 miles in the opposite direction and you’ll reach Blair Atholl with its magnificent castle and gardens.
Inside, the open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge space is where you’ll spend time relaxing between adventures. The dining table can comfortably seat four people, and the lounge area is a cosy spot to watch TV or a DVD when you want to put your feet up. Patio doors lead from the lounge into a small furnished conservatory where you can enjoy wonderful views of the loch and watch the starry night sky unfold. The bedroom features zip-and-link beds that can be made into a double or twin beds to suit your preference, while a double sofa bed in the lounge provides sleeping space for an extra two guests. A family bathroom completes the layout.
While the property has no outdoor space of its own, you’ll have access to the shared grounds and woodland paths. Parking is available across the site on a first come, first served basis.
