Explore breathtaking Highland scenery from this pet-friendly apartment overlooking Loch Rannoch. Suitable for a couple or a small family, it’s set within a tranquil holiday complex in Kinloch Rannoch, beneath the region’s ‘fairy mountain’, Schiehallion. The surrounding area has a wealth of walking and cycling trails to explore and is home to some of the UK's rarest wildlife, including red squirrels, pine martens, and golden eagles. From Rannoch Station (16 miles), ride the West Highland Line to Mallaig to see why it’s regularly voted one of the most spectacular train journeys in the world. If you’re after something to get your pulse racing, there are several outdoor activity centres within 25 miles of the site offering adrenaline-fuelled pursuits such as white-water rafting, canyoning, and quad biking.
Inside, the open-plan living space feels warm and homely, with a compact kitchen for preparing home-cooked breakfasts and a dining table that can seat up to four people. The lounge area has a TV/DVD for cosy evening entertainment and doubles as your sleeping space, with a double sofa bed and a pull-down double griffin bed. You’ll find handy storage and hanging space here too, plus a reading lamp for unwinding with a good book. Patio doors lead to a furnished conservatory, where you can relax with a drink and soak up the wonderful views across the loch. On a clear night, you might even be treated to glimpses of the Northern Lights as they shimmer across the sky. Completing the layout is a bathroom with a shower over the bath.
There is no private outdoor space at the property, but you’ll have access to the shared grounds and woodland paths. Parking is available in the car park (first-come, first-served).
