This cosy, stone-built cottage offers couples an excellent base for exploring a region rich in history and natural beauty. The mystical Holy Island of Lindisfarne is just a short drive away, accessible via a tidal causeway and home to an ancient priory, dramatic castle and peaceful beaches. Nearby Goswick Beach offers a wide stretch of golden sand for long walks and beach games, along with a popular golf club boasting sea views. Berwick-upon-Tweed is close by, with riverside walks, independent shops and galleries, and impressive Elizabethan town walls. Head to Bamburgh for its iconic castle and vast beach, or continue to Seahouses for boat trips to the Farne Islands — a chance to spot puffins, seals and even dolphins.

Step through the front door into a welcoming porch, ideal for storing muddy boots and coats after a day of exploring. The open-plan living space beyond is designed with comfort in mind, offering a relaxed setting to unwind. Sink into the sofa and enjoy a quiet evening in front of the Smart TV, cook up a good meal in the well-equipped kitchen, and enjoy breakfast or a quiet supper at the dining table. A ground-floor shower room provides added convenience, while upstairs, a romantic mezzanine-style bedroom offers a double bed and a skylight for stargazing from beneath the covers.

Outside, there’s a private enclosed patio with garden furniture, perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. The property was. very cosy and comfortable. It had all the equipment that you would need for a good stay. It had shop and garage on one side and a pub/ restaurant on the other, both of which were handy. It was in a good location for exploring the Northumberland coast including Lindisfarne,Bamburgh, Craster, Berwick,even the Scottish Borders were Read morenot far away. Hide
