Beadnell is located on the Northumberland Coastal Path, which is a favoured spot of dog walkers, should you decide to bring your four-legged friend along on your jollies. You can pick up the path anywhere and tailor the length of your walk to what suits you, but we highly recommend the walk from Beadnell to Craster Harbour. Starting in Beadnell Harbour, the route follows the trail of the Northumberland Coastal Path, along the coast to Snook Point and through Low Newton-by-the-Sea, from where you can see amazing views of Dunstanburgh Castle. The walk is completely dog-friendly and is a fantastic way to explore this part of the sandy Northumbrian coast.

But just because Beadnell is an outdoorsy place, it doesn’t mean it lacks a sense of glamour. Beadnell Bay is a dog-friendly beach and is sublime all year round, but there’s a particular buzz here during the summertime. Water sports are very popular at Beadnell Bay, as the bay can produce swells of up to 15 feet, it is well-loved by surfers and bodyboarders. With local businesses offering group sessions and equipment hire, you can try your hand at a range of water sports including wakeboarding, waterskiing, surfing and bodyboarding.
