This beautiful house has recently been refurbished and is furnished to a very high standard, providing the perfect base for couples, groups and families to explore the town and county. From the house, walk into Amble, a popular fishing town on the Northumberland coast known as the ‘friendliest port’, to discover its stunning beach and fantastic shops and cafes. Admire the pretty beach huts en route to the harbour (just over 300 metres away), with gorgeous views towards Coquet Island. Explore the area on the Northumberland Coast Path, which passes through Amble and on to the pretty village of Warkworth, 1.5 miles away, where the castle and hermitage preside over the River Coquet. Visit the ever-popular fishing village of Seahouses (21 miles away) to try the excellent local seafood or Alnwick, just 9 miles away, is a must-see, with a magnificent castle which was the backdrop to two of the first Harry Potter movies and also featured in Downton Abbey. There are also regular markets and lovely shops.

This is a fabulous property both inside and out. The ground floor has been extended to create a spacious, beautifully decorated, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with contemporary furnishings, comfy sofas and a cosy electric fire. The sheer attention to detail makes this property such an amazing home for home. The large bright country-style kitchen is equipped with everything you could need for cooking up dinnertime delights, and a dining table where everyone can enjoy them. Upstairs are two lovely, bright bedrooms: a twin room (that can be made up as a king), with contemporary furniture and an en-suite bathroom, and a chic, king-size room with plenty of storage that has use of the modern family bathroom.

At the rear of the house, there’s an enclosed garden, accessed via the kitchen or the back gate, and a patio area with dining furniture and extra seating, perfect for enjoying a glass of something chilled or a delicious meal together at the end of a fantastic day.

The cottage was perfect for our base for a week exploring the Northumberland Coast. A 2 min walk to the harbour which was lovely to walk along the pier and beach rocks (low tide) in the evenings. Amble is a lovely place and not touristy (that youd notice). The cottage was so well equipped, everything we needed, spacious open plan downstairs and twoRead more bedrooms upstairs. Two bathrooms was a bonus. Very nicely decorated inside. We were concerned about street parking but it wasnt an issue at all. Sometimes we got right outside and other times we were a few doors down which was no problem. This was in August too so dont let street parking put you off. This is a fab cottage. Hide

Very well equipped house and amazingly fresh and clean with lovely courtyard to sit in. So well situated once you get your bearings. Walked to Warkworth, super lunch at the pub in High Street and Low Hauxley, the latter along the coast on a glorious day and had lunch at the Nature reserve. We actually parked on the road to the side of the terrace by some disused garages. This left neighbours there parking spaces . We did purely out of courtesy to not form any complaints ! Hide

Amble is every bit Read moreas friendly as it's marketing blurb claims. Stunning fresh fish (straight off the boat), seafood restaurants to die for, and do visit the 'Mad Jam Woman'.
