Holiday Cottages in Sussex

We have a fantastic selection of properties in Sussex that are available to rent all year round. Both West and East Sussex attract lots of visitors each year, because of their rural and coastal landscapes and vibrant, historic towns. We have cottages located across the breadth of the region, from intimate two-person accommodations to larger family holiday lets. We also have lots of luxury properties in the area, sporting everything from hot tubs, to games rooms and private gardens. Around half of our properties are also pet-friendly and dogs will certainly love the gorgeous Sussex coast and countryside.

Brighton, which welcomes almost 10 million visitors a year, is a vibrant seaside town with lots of character and plenty to see and do. Adelaide Mansions I is a two-person apartment looking directly onto the Brighton Sea, and is set within one of the grand terrace buildings that make up Brighton’s iconic seafront skyline. Brighton Rock is another one bed, boutique and modern apartment and the perfect place for a couple’s getaway. If you need somewhere bigger, but still want to be in the middle of Brighton’s buzz, check out Number 42 in Saltdean. This luxury home sleeps nine guests, with its own outdoor hot tub and even state of the art beach bikes for you to use!

We have a great collection of cottages across the Sussex coastline too. Rye is a popular choice of many and we have some stunning period cottages within the town, which fit in comfortably with the town’s historic architecture. Hucksteps Row, which sleeps three, was originally built in 1400 and still sports some of its original features. Oak House is similar in style and is a Grade II listed building.

If you prefer to venture more inland, we have a selection of cottages in the East and West Sussex Countryside. One of our most unusual homes, Hobbit House, is in Bodiam and is - you guessed it - modelled entirely on the home of Bilbo Baggins! The house was crafted using local materials and really showcases the originality of the cottages we have on offer.

Planning your Sussex Getaway

The golden sandy beach at Camber Sands in East Sussex is always a hit. Being one of the few non-pebbled beaches in the county, this place is the destination for kicking back and laying by the seashore. Camber Sands is also right next to Rye, which is the perfect place to visit after a day at the beach. Mermaid Street in Rye is the most photographed street in Sussex, with its ivy-covered cottages being the centre of attention. Rye also has a nature reserve and harbour, set just a stone's-throw away from the historic towns of Hastings and Battle, which were made famous by the great battle in 1066.

Chichester, alongside Brighton and Eastbourne, is one of the county’s most popular areas, and is the main city in West Sussex. Here you can visit Chichester Cathedral and Fishbourne Roman Palace, which is famous for having the country’s largest collection of in-situ floor mosaics, dating from the AD 75-80. Chichester is also home to the beaches of West Wittering, and Worthing. Many argue that Worthing boasts the best sunset on the South East Coast, and it is vital to book your trip to West Wittering in advance.

Aside from the coast, East and West Sussex is also home to the UK’s newest National Park, the South Downs. The South Downs stretches across the region and is home to a variety of flora and fauna for you to explore. There are deer and barn owls in Petworth Park, Oysters in the Cuckmere Estuary and a diverse range of birds to spot from Seven Sisters Cliff. If it’s wildlife you’re after, make sure to add the South Downs to your itinerary.

Bustling Brighton, radiant Rye, and the sunny South Downs, Sussex really does have it all. This part of the world is popular for a reason, and our holiday cottages in this area are available to book now, and all year round, so what’s stopping you?
