Hexden Lea is set in a beautiful picturesque location with lovely views just outside the village of Rolvenden and within an easy drive to the Wealden town of Tenterden.  The property has been finished to a high standard offering comfortable and stylish open plan living and has been designed to offer ease of use for wheelchair users.  There is a sofa bed suitable for an extra child and the property has been fitted with every modern convenience.  There are stunning views from the sitting room and the decked area across the owner's sheep farm - where you can enjoy watching birds, wildlife and farming activities according to the season.  This area has great access to many National Trust properties and famous gardens including Great Dixter and Pashley Manor, famous for its' Tulip Festival in May.  Take a trip to historic Rye and continue on to Camber sands, play a round of golf locally or just enjoy exploring the Kent countryside and the pretty Wealden villages.  There is a good weekly Farmer's market in nearby Rolvenden, a small Motor Museum, a village shop and two village pubs.  Also close by is Newenden Boating Station and the Kent & East Sussex Railway, which runs to Tenterden and Bodiam Castle.

Sitting Area has a sofa, which is a sofa bed for an extra child, an armchair, occasional tables, a small electric wood effect heater, a bookshelf and a 40" Smart TV and an inclusive DVD player.  There are French doors to the decked area and garden
Bedroom has a king size bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, luggage rack and French doors to the decked area
Wet Room is fully tiled with under floor heating, heated towel rail, washbasin and w.c.  The wet room has been sympathetically designed for wheelchair users and here is a shower seat available and a toilet frame on requested. 

Garden: There is a decked area with railings, steps down to the secured garden with handrails.  There is garden furniture on the decking and a charcoal barbecue, and a summerhouse with soft seating, for views across the meadow.

Great location for visiting NT. Comfortable king bed and very nice showering facilities. Good selection of kitchen equipment and laundry facilities. Lovely welcome pack and great to have the donkeys and so many birds coming to the feeders in the trees.

Lovely views from this well equipped & comfortable holiday home. A bonus to watch & feed Reggie & Ronnie the donkeys. Mr. & Mrs Lowrie were helpful with suggestions where to go and where to eat. Will certainly return.

We Had very nice stay wile we had a new bathroom fitted The cottage was warm and comfortable well equipped. The view from the cottage across the valley with the leaves changing colour was great. Also lots off wildlife Rabbits loads of Birds not forgetting the two Donkeys looking over the fence for their treats The owners where very helpful and Read morerespected our privacy Thanks Dave & Vera Hide

The cottage was perfect in many ways for us. My husband is disabled with Parkinson's/dementia/crohns/heart disease and is curently in remission for a second time from cancer. It was a real treat to for me be able to have a complete rest in beautiful surroundings. Bed very comfortable too. I returned home feeling so much better. We really enjoyed our visit to Hexden Lea. The cottage was exactly what we had hoped for and meeting our neighbours ,the two donkeys, was a real bonus. Bertie and Margaret were excellent hosts and we hope to visit Hexden Lea again.

A lovely cottage, convient to visit many places around the area. Well equipped clean with lovely views. An excellent welcome pack on the table. The Donkeys were a joy to see & feed. There welcome was lovely when we opened the doors to the back garden either in the mornings or when we arrived back from day out. We had a lovely holiday. Thank you.

A great cottage and location. The kitchen was amongst the best equipped we have stayed in. Comfortable bed and excellent shower room.The views were wonderful and the donkeys were amusing! Thanks to our helpful hosts, Mr & Mrs Lowrey for a lovely, quiet holiday.

Very compact, comfortable and well equipped. Unfortunately the property was much closer to the main road than expected and constant loud vehicle noise meant we were not really able to enjoy the outside in the lovely hot sunny weather we had. We spent a lovely week at Hexden Lea. It's very well situated for the many NT and HHA properties in the neighbourhood. The owners are friendly and there for you if you need them. Wonderful comfortable cottage, real home from home. Everything is provided and few extras too. Owners on hand if needed but also non obtrusive. Ronnie and Reggie the donkeys are a delight to watch whilst enjoying the garden. Cannot wait to come back again.

Lovely cottage in a quiet location next door to the owners property. Unexpected welcome pack on arrival which was a lovely touch. Margaret and Bertie were very friendly and helpful when we had some car issues. Situated on a working farm Ronnie and Reggie the pet donkeys were real characters and an added bonus.

Really nice cottage in a good location. Great view from lounge across the hills. Value for money. Kitchen well-equipped. Had everything we needed for our stay. The donkeys really made our holiday. Was fun feeding them everyday. So cute. The summer house was a real bonus. Owners on hand if you needed them.

Ideally situated for visiting N.T properties. Quiet location with views over the countryside. The owners were very friendly and helpful should you need it.
