Our holiday cottages in Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo are within South Devon’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which boasts spectacular woodlands and cliff tops. These two villages exude peace and tranquillity and offer the perfect location for some beautiful scenic walks around the River Yealm’s woodland and along the Newton Creek, particularly from our dog-friendly holiday cottages.
From Newton Ferrers you can walk towards Noss Mayo, a chocolate-box village with its cute thatched cottages, views of the estuary and local sailing school. Our holiday cottages for walkers offer a perfect base from which to pick up the South West Coast Path, with a seasonal foot ferry that links the path across the Yealm Estuary.
Food and Drink
Book one of our holiday cottages for two in Noss Mayo and enjoy a wonderful foodie break. The Swan Inn in Noss is dog and family-friendly and a favourite with the locals. It boasts an enviable beer garden overlooking the quay, Newton and Noss, and the River Yealm.
The Dolphin Inn is situated in Newton Ferrers with a beer garden and two terraces that overlook the River Yealm and over to Noss Mayo. The Dolphin Inn offers traditional pub grub and all of the dishes are home-cooked and all of the ingredients are sourced locally.
The Ship Inn is located in Noss Mayo on the waterside and has recently been refurbished using reclaimed materials. It offers guests a very simple, comfortable yet contemporary atmosphere whilst enjoying an evening meal. The Ship Inn use local produce and for this reason their menu changes daily.
