Set in the welcoming village of Yealmpton, this holiday home is perfectly placed for couples or families looking to enjoy the best of South Devon’s coast and countryside. With local pubs and a handy village store nearby, everything you need for a relaxed stay is close at hand. 3.5 miles away, the picturesque riverside villages of Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo are ideal for peaceful walks, waterside lunches and roaming narrow lanes lined with cottages and boats. Mothecombe Beach (5 miles) boasts wide sands, rock pools and beautiful coastal scenery, making it perfect for family picnics, paddling or simply unwinding by the sea. Nature lovers and walkers will also enjoy being 5 miles from Dartmoor National Park, where dramatic moorland landscapes, scenic trails and wild ponies create unforgettable days out. For a change of pace, the waterfront city of Plymouth (7 miles) offers shopping, restaurants and the National Marine Aquarium.

Enter this charming, thatched cottage through the entrance hall, where there’s room to leave coats and shoes after rural walks. To the right, the cosy lounge invites quiet evenings beside the wood burner, with comfortable seating gathered around the Smart TV for board games, films or catching up together after a busy day. At the rear of the cottage, a handy desk area creates a quiet corner for checking emails or planning the next day’s adventures, alongside a ground-floor shower room. Next door, the stylish kitchen and dining area combines traditional character with modern convenience. Exposed stone walls and a striking Rayburn stove give the room plenty of character, while generous worktop areas and a well-equipped kitchen make mealtimes easy. The dining table sits at the heart of the room, creating a sociable setting for long breakfasts and evening suppers. Enjoy the versatile artwork dotted around the property, before heading upstairs. The main double bedroom includes built-in wardrobe storage, while across the landing, the twin bedroom is thoughtfully arranged for families or friends. Both bedrooms are served by a family bathroom complete with a roll-top slipper bath.

A nice cottage on the outskirts of the village. Very well equipped with a nice courtyard garden. The twin beds are more suitable for younger children. We had a nice stay here and with a few improvements we would recommend it for a family of four.

The cottage is lovely but it could do with some TLC eg front door needs painting outside courtyard needs a good tidy up eg deweeding and a good sweep up the cottage is on a bend of a country lane so you have to be careful when pulling out all in all this did not spoil our stay it is a cozy lovely cottage.
