Self-catering holidays in Heathfield

Enjoying a central location in the glorious Sussex countryside, our fresh and welcoming choice of Heathfield cottages offers beautiful self-catering accommodation for couples and friends looking for a tranquil holiday retreat in peaceful surroundings. Situated along the south-western edge of the glorious High Weald National Landscape, Heathfield is a charming market town standing at the midpoint between Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne. Making a great base for eager walkers, nature lovers and cyclists exploring the area’s glorious landscapes, we have a lovely choice of local holiday cottages including stylish townhouses, tastefully updated barn conversions, cheery bungalows and traditional cottages. Known for its major annual agriculture show, Heathfield is also home to the Gibraltar Tower, the Sugar Loaf and a monument to Jack Cade’s 15th-century rebellion.

Stretching across Sussex into Kent and Surrey, the High Weald National Landscape offers wonderful woodlands, lush fields and ancient footpaths, with miles of glorious landscapes for you to take in during your Sussex stay. Heathfield lies to the east of the friendly town of Uckfield which has a cinema and a choice of welcoming pubs and restaurants. Rudyard Kipling’s former home at Bateman’s is to the east, now run by the National Trust as a museum, or you can head north-east into Ashdown Forest, the site of A A Milne’s Pooh Sticks Bridge. The area has a range of attractions and landmarks for history buffs, nature spotters, families and music lovers including Farley’s House and Gallery, Glyndebourne, Knockhatch Adventure Park and the remains of Scotney Castle and Bayham Old Abbey.
