With views out across the fields this single storey cottage, perfect for families of all ages, has been converted to a very high standard from a former cow byre. It has lovely rural views and many exposed beams, making it a very relaxing holiday home which is also wheelchair friendly.  Dairy Cottage is located on the owners' farm within walking distance of the pub at Bodle Street Green and close to Windmill Hill, which is between Battle and Hailsham. This property is the ideal family base for visiting Herstmonceux Science Centre and Drusillas Park and not far from Bedgebury Pinetum, with it's "Go Ape" tree top walk and for the grown ups, Batemans and the wonderful Pashley Manor Gardens are close by.  If you're feeling energetic why not put on your walking boots and try the 1066 Walk or the Cuckmere Valley Trail and the seaside for a paddle is only seven miles away at Pevensey Bay.  Shop: 2 miles  Pub: 500 metres  Coast: 7 miles

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning landscape that surrounded us. The cottage itself is incredibly quaint, and well appointed with its rustic charm and cozy atmosphere making it the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The cottage was in a good location for exploring the lovely Sussex countryside and also the coast. The owners were friendly and gave us a warm welcome. We appreciated the tea, coffee, milk and chocolate biscuits. The beds and showers were especially good and we enjoyed our stay.

We were happy with the cottage, bathrooms are very good and well equiped. On the whole it provides excellent accommodation with a lovely view from the lounge window. Very quiet and peaceful.

The owners of the Dairy Cottage are THE perfect hosts. On our arrival there was fresh milk, tea, coffee and cookies available. The lovely cottage has all you can dream of. We felt home from home. Most beautiful countryside, very quiet and easy to get to wonderful locations in the area of East Sussex and Kent. We'll be back!

Lovely cosy cottage in a lovely rural location, if you want peace and quiet this is the place for you. For people with problems with mobility it is great as everything is on one level and having a wet room is great.

The cottage has been beautifully converted. It was equipped with absolutely everything we needed, including milk, chocolate biscuits and lovely flowers on arrival. The setting is so very peaceful, with very friendly owners, who are prompt in responding if there is anything you need. This is a beautiful little cottage in a very quiet rural location. It was perfect for relaxation and ideally situated within easy reach of the Sussex countryside and coast. I would thoroughly recommend it and would like to return for another break as soon as the opportunity arises.

Nice building and a great view into the green countryside. Very relaxing in a warm house. Extremely friendly owner. And a super cosy pub in walking distance. It is quiet remote, which, for us was perfect.

Clean well equipped property. Well suited to those with mobility problems. Good view. Initially had a problem with the wi-fi connection but this was quickly resolved by contact with the owner.
