The property looks exactly as advertised, the studio is spacious and very clean. The heating is fantastic, which is a bonus in winter. It's great to have the entrance area to leave shoes and coats. The bathroom is modern and clean, lovely towels were provided. The bed was comfortable with good pillows and duvet. The sofa is massive and really comRead morefortable with the 2 end seats that recline. The views are stunning over the lake. It was too cold to use the balcony but it would be lovely in summer. The location is quiet, you are tucked away but still close enough to shops. The welcome pack included homemade bread, butter, milk and some mince pies, which was really kind. There were also some pods for the coffee machine, which was lovely. There was also a welcome pack for the dog including a few essentials and a few biscuits, which was thoughtful. The only notes are that if you bring your dog they aren't allowed on the bed. If like us your dog sleeps on your bed at home this can be tricky, as there is no separate bedroom that you can close the door to stop them going jumping up there. The other note is that you are close to the owners property. They are both so lovely and friendly without being invasive. They are the very best hosts ensuring that we had everything we needed, including support when they were away for Christmas. I only include this note for anyone like us who would usually book a remote property with a reactive dog who reacts to noises like car doors etc. That said we enjoyed our stay and Mel and Mark were very considerate and gave us our privacy and were very quiet neighbours. Lastly the deer were beautiful, I loved seeing them, they have lots of space but if you're lucky like we were you can see the close to the fence a couple of metres away. Overall I had a lovely stay. The location was perfect, the kitchen well equipped and the accommodation is very comfortable, wifi is great, I'd highly recommend staying here. If you are lucky enough to find availability here, snap it up and enjoy your stay, we did! Hide

Wow, what a find !! This property is absolutely perfect in every way. Mel and Mark, the hosts, leave no stone unturned to ensure their guests are totally satisfied. The nice touch of Scones and Clotted Cream, plus some lovely fresh bread and milk on arrival was most welcome. The property itself is beautifully located and superbly equipped, and thRead moree bonus for guests who have their dog with them to be able to exercise the dog in the Orchard was most welcome. Finally, the herd of Reindeer was delight to see, especially this near Christmas. Thank you Mel and Mark, it was a real delight to make our base at your lovely property. Hide
