Part of a friendly holiday park 1 mile from Tintagel, this wonderful lodge makes a comfortable base for exploring this rugged stretch of coastline. It’s ideal for a small family or two couples keen to go on scenic walks or just relax on sandy shores. Across the road, a path leads to the dog-friendly Bossiney Cove (a half-mile walk that involves steep cliff steps), where at low tide, you can go rock-pooling and explore sea caves. When it’s time to stretch your legs, follow the coast path to Rocky Valley (0.5 miles), where the Trevillet River runs through woodland and a dramatic slate gorge on its way to the sea. Tintagel (1 mile) is full of cafés, bakeries, pubs and shops. At St Nectan’s Glen (1.5 miles), follow woodland paths towards impressive waterfalls, or head to Boscastle (3 miles) for the afternoon.
Back at the lodge, two sets of patio doors fill the open-plan living area with light, while the apex ceiling contributes to the sense of space. There’s space to spread out across two comfy sofas for a film on the Smart TV, while the wooden dining table brings everyone together for meals or an evening game. The kitchen sits alongside the living space and has everything you need for preparing tasty family meals. For sleeping, you’ll have a double bedroom with its own en-suite shower room and WC, along with a good-sized twin bedroom served by a separate family bathroom with a bath, overhead shower and WC.
This getaway offers plenty of space for relaxing outside, too. Patio doors lead onto a private decked area, equipped with garden furniture so you can enjoy fresh-air breakfasts and dinners. Enjoy soaks in the private hot tub. Private parking for one car is provided at the front of the lodge.
