Plan your next break to this charming family-friendly cottage on the beautiful St Mellion Estate. You’ll be within reach of a host of fantastic South Devon attractions so you can enjoy jam-packed days out or stay in and relax with plenty of on-site leisure facilities too. The Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is on your doorstep with walking and cycle routes criss-crossing the landscape so you can enjoy time in the great outdoors. For city adventures, venture across the river to Plymouth (12 miles) home to the National Marine Aquarium, museums, galleries, and seafront Hoe Park. Venture to the scenic National Trust sites of Cotehele Mill and Buckland Abbey (both within 16 miles), or visit Looe (15.5 miles) Seaton Beach (13.5 miles), or the Rame Head Heritage Coast (20 miles).

Step into this reverse-level accommodation and admire the spiral staircase which leads to the open-plan living space on the first floor. On the ground floor, there are two bedrooms, including a bunk bedroom with plenty of storage space, and a master bedroom with a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as a twin on request at the time of booking), plus a dressing area, seating space, freestanding bath, Smart TV and patio doors leading outside to the terrace. There is also a WC on this floor. Head up the spiral staircase and you will find a welcoming lounge/kitchen/dining room, as well as a shower room with WC. The large open-plan living space features a fully equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The lounge area offers comfy seating and a Smart TV, plus patio doors to the balcony - the perfect spot for relaxing with a cold drink after a long day. There is a good-sized dining table which is in the centre of the room where the family can sit together and talk about their day over a meal or two.

Outside is a terrace area with garden furniture, plus a balcony off the lounge. There are also 450 acres of natural grounds to roam. Guests have use of the on-site Health Club, and there is private off-road parking for two cars.

Good modern cottage with all things you are likely to need with the additional benefits of the leisure facilities

Cottage had everything we needed for the week. It was useful to have a clothes airer and hairdryer provided. Bed was comfortable and all linen and towels provided were clean. Smart TV allowed us to sign in to our own netflix profiles etc, just remember to sign out at the end if your stay. Great to be able to park right outside the cottage. Very Read morequiet and peaceful, and a cosy place to stay. Hide

Leisure facilities (swimming) included with this property are good, especially for families. Location requires car to be able to go anywhere beyond the resort. Waitrose and Lidl 10 minutes drive so was convenient for grocery shopping. Cleanliness of the property was not up to the standard we have experienced in other holiday homes, dust and cobwebsRead more and needed to wipe down the kitchen surfaces/table/etc. before using. Free-standing bath in main bedroom was nice, lots of hot water. Hide
