Walk to the main attractions of Bath in less than half a mile, including the famous Pulteney Bridge, the Roman Baths and local shopping and amenities. Less than 8 miles away, you'll find the pretty town of Bradford-On-Avon with its beautiful buildings, canal walk and restaurants and inns, whilst the start of the Bristol and Bath Railway Path is just 2.5 miles away, which offers traffic-free cycling and walking. Alternatively, you can visit the famous historic houses of Longleat and Corsham Court, which are 20 and 10 miles respectively.

This is a charming house with a blend of chic and historic decor and furnishings. It is situated in the elegant 18th-century Bathwick Estate. The main entrance is up a few steps to the shared hallway – head along a short corridor, then down a few steps to the apartment's main door. There are steps down to the first level, which has two bedrooms. One is a super-king-size with two 'Dorset stripe' tub chairs, a decorative fireplace and views of the river Avon and Pulteney Weir, while the second is a twin which can be made into a superking on request. There is one step down to the beautiful bathroom. Downstairs at the garden level, whitewashed stone walls house a sleek contemporary kitchen with a breakfast bar for two and a cosy sitting room with ample plush seating, a TV and a dining area.

Two arch-glazed doors from the sitting area lead to the walled garden with garden furniture, making for an ideal dining space in fine weather. A secret lockable gate leads to the famous Beazer Maze and the riverside flowing in the city's centre. The nearest car park is just over 300 metres away.

Although we were only at Johnsons secret garden briefly, we absolutely loved it. There was everything we could possibly have needed, & we loved the history of the place too. It was really handy for everything we wanted to do! Thank you for our welcome pack too, much appreciated. We have already reccomended it to friends. Thanks again

Absolutely fantastic place. Super clean and well stocked. Best location, central to everything that there is to see in Bath. Decorated with a lot of care and charm. Felt like an enchanted place with the secret garden and the hidden garden door that led to the labyrinth by the river. We also enjoyed meeting the host who was so very helpful. We recently stayed at this property for a long weekend, loved it, very central, incredibly quiet at night and having a garden was a bonus, we used the back gate often to pop out and just a stones throw from Pultney bridge! An easy stroll too from the station and a great choice of coffee shops/restaurants on the doorstep. A wonderful place to stay with incredible character. Every modern convenience coupled with old world charm. Less than a 5 minute walk to the center of town but in a quiet area with a garden backing right on to the river.
