The Stables at Foldyard is part of a small complex located on the owners farm in Holme-on-Spalding-Moor. This recently converted 200 year old barn has all the modern conveniences along with many original features, including A frame beams and exposed stone walls. Set on a small farm with horses, sheep, ducks and chickens, and the owner on site with lots of information about the local area.

Set all on one level, this two bedroom converted barn has everything you could need for a comfortable relaxing holiday. The owners have put a lot of thought into creating the right ambience inside this 200 year old barn, mixing original features, such as beams and exposed stone walls, with the convenience of underfloor heating and contemporary kitchen and bathroom.

Through the double doors, you will find the open plan living area with full height ceilings and two sets of patio doors onto the communal courtyard garden. The comfortable seating allows you to relax after a day walking or cycling on the Wolds, or visiting nearby York, and catch up with your favourite show on TV. Or you could just enjoy a glass of wine while watching the flicking flames of the log burner.

The cottage was excellent, the presentation is first class and the owners are welcoming and helpful. The bedrooms are really comfortable. Overall I would recommend the cottage as a wonderful place to stay and use as a base to use for exploring York, Beverley and the surrounding Yorkshire Wolds.
