Cottages in Caernarfon

Home to the most famous castle in Wales, Caernarfon is an ideal location from which to explore the splendour of Snowdonia National Park.

It’s fair to say that a holiday here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Caernarfon Castle. Its size and splendour is possibly unrivalled amongst other castles across Wales and you can explore its ancient walls and halls to your heart's content.

The town's wonderful coastal position means you can also enjoy trips to nearby beaches such as award-winning Dinas Dinlle, a gorgeous sand and pebble beach popular with windsurfers and a hot spot for bass fishing.

For spectacular walking expeditions in wild and wonderful surroundings, the Snowdonia National Park is on your doorstep so don’t forget to pack your walking boots and waterproofs!

If it’s a family holiday you’re planning, there are a number of family-friendly activities in the Caernarfon area you can enjoy together. We recommend spending a day at Gypsy Wood Park, a 20-acre woodland on the foothills of Snowdonia, within a short drive of Caernarfon. Attractions include a railway, animals, a mini zip wire, and plenty more. For the adults, take a drive just south of Caernarfon to the slopes of the Nantlle Valley where you’ll come to Pant Du Vineyard and Orchard. Here you can sample award-winning wine and apple cider, as well as book a guided tour with tasting.

We have quality cottages in and around Caernarfon, all ideally situated to enjoy the many attractions and activities in Snowdonia and the Llŷn Peninsula. Explore our Snowdonia cottages or our Llŷn Peninsula cottages for more ideas.
