This romantic bolthole for two sits just outside the small, rural village of Dwyran on the Isle of Anglesey. Anglesey has some of Wales’s most beautiful beaches, including the long, sandy stretch at Llanddwyn (4 miles). Here, you can enjoy the magnificent views of the Eryri mountains and the rugged Llyn Peninsula. Behind the beach is Newborough Forest Park, with its network of waymarked walking and cycling routes – a lovely, shady spot to enjoy on a hot day. The charming village of Llanfair PG (famous for having one of the longest place names in the world) is 8 miles away and has some delightful independent shops and cafes. Alternatively, journey to the bustling coastal resort of Benllech (16 miles) or head inland to the county town of Llangefni (8.5 miles). Nearby attractions include Plas Newydd House and Garden and Beaumaris Castle, both within 15 miles.
The stone barn conversion is set around a charming, shared courtyard. Inside, the holiday home is full of original character, with a beautiful tiled floor and exposed beams. Leave walking boots in the hallway before heading through to the rear of the property, where you’ll find a bright and airy kitchen/diner with everything needed to prepare a hearty meal and a cute dining table for sharing dinners. After a bite to eat, wander through to the characterful lounge featuring a warming wood burner set in an original stone fireplace. Spend time in here after a day of adventure, snuggled up on the leather sofa with your favourite movie playing on the Smart TV. Back towards the front of the cottage is an inviting double bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and a large skylight. This room has plenty of storage for all your holiday attire. Rounding off the accommodation is a refreshing shower room.
Outside, relax in the sunshine at the bistro set in the shared courtyard, sipping a glass of wine or enjoying an al fresco dinner on a balmy evening. Private parking is provided for one car.
