Had a lovely stay at Heron's Roost, very comfortable and everything we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed wandering in the garden, and enjoyed eating the eggs and other goodies left for us by Martin. Great location for exploring Snowdonia, we love mountain walking, and enjoyed a couple of walks from Rhyd Ddu which is very close. Note that there is no showeRead morer, just a bath with a shower attachment. Perfectly adequate but not great if you have mobility issues. Hide

Well placed to visit walks and beaches with shops etc not far away in nearest town. Lack of direct sunlight in cottage a downside however although a pleasant outside seating area did compensate to catch the sun.Very helpful onsite owner and good welcoming touches of fresh eggs and wine!
