Beautiful, contemporary dog friendly cottage for two with a hot tub, welcoming woodburner and countryside views. Get away from it all at this peaceful West Wales location with farmland views towards the Cambrian Mountains, within 2 miles of the village of Llanilar and the local pub. Central to Aberystwyth (7 miles) on the beautiful shores of Cardigan Bay and Tregaron market town on the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains.

There are many wonderful sights and attractions to see, from Aberystwyths, beaches and promenade, cliff railway and wide range of restaurants, cafes and shops to the narrow gauge railway that leads to Devils Bridge's waterfalls and stunning walks. Or a traditional cinema and the largest Arts Centre in Wales to mountain biking and red kite feeding at Nant yr Arian. Visit Cors Caron Nature Reserve, the Silver Mountain Experience, Fantasy Farm... the list goes on... or sit back and do nothing at all other than relax in the hot tub on your own elevated patio.

Ground Floor

  • Lounge / Dining Room: Open plan room with an inviting sofa and chair around a wood burner and Smart TV with Firestick feature. This vaulted room enjoys plenty of natural light with its large arched windows and a glass door that leads on to the patio with beautiful countryside views and a hot tub. Oak dining table and chairs, also enjoying views of the surrounding countryside. Relax and enjoy a selection of games or immerse yourself in a good book during your stay.
  • Kitchen: Modern kitchen with all modern appliances, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer located in a separate building immediately next door.
  • Bedroom 1: Large bedroom with a super-king size bed (can be made into 3' twin beds - please request at the time of booking). Vaulted open beamed roof with bedside tables, chest of drawers and large oak wardrobe.
  • Shower Room: Wet room with a large electric power shower, modern sink and WC. Removable stool also provided.

Garden

  • Large, elevated and enclosed decking area featuring a hot tub and patio set, with countryside views including the Cambrian Mountains on the horizon.
  • Traditional coal BBQ, initial supply of coal provided. Additional supply can be purchased nearby.

A lovely week, very peaceful location. We enjoyed using the hot tub with beautiful countryside views with cows opposite and sheep in neighbouring fields. Lovely walks directly from the cottage with laminated routes provided in the cottage. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely accommodation in a Beautiful and peaceful setting , Great communication and recommendations from Mat and perfectly baked brownie treat from Alix in the thoughtful gift basket . Beautiful cottage really peaceful place, close enough to amenities but far enough away to be able to enjoy some well needed R&R. Matt was very friendly and welcomed us to the cottage on arrival and was there if we needed him. All the information in the welcome pack was brilliant giving all you could need about places to visit, takeaways, places to Read moreeat (would 100% recommend Y Ffarmers for a meal about 20mins drive from cottage) including dog walks in the area (If visiting in wetter months I would recommend waterproof walking boots or wellies). A lovely, cosy cottage with everything you need for a perfect weekend away. The hot tub was a real treat, and the snug fire made our stay feel extra special. Its in a great location with plenty of beautiful walks and exploring to enjoy with the doggo. We had such a relaxing break and are already looking forward to returning!

We very much enjoyed our time in the cottage. Everything was spotlessly clean on arrival and you could smell the cleaning products which had a very pleasant scent. The cottage was very well equipped and had everything we needed even to make a roast dinner! The hot tub was nice even though we only used it once. Loved the fire and just the peace and Read moretranquillity of the area. As always, enjoyed making memories with my son and would like to thank the owners for their thoughtful welcome gifts - the brownie was amazing!! A well equipped , clean and cosy cottage, with lovely views , nice hot tub and log burner. Really lovely welcome basket on our arrival. Both owners are lovely and friendly and helpful if needed. We spent a relaxing two weeks here and loved it!! Would highly recommend this cottage.

This cottage was in a lovely location, very quiet. The owner was very responsive to any issues we had, which were basically dealt with instantly. Unfortunately the only local pub had closed, so if you like a tipple, make sure you stock up. There was a very thoughtful welcome hamper for your arrival. Small touches like this are really lovely. This barn conversion is now becoming our second home. This visit was our 3rd in the last 12 months. It has everything we need for our doggy holiday. The hot tub, log fire are amazing. The owners have thought carefully to make the barn comfortable and enjoyable place to stay for both us and our dogs. This place is a hidden Gem. Absolutely peaceful, brilliant facilities, lovely interior design and what more could you want. We loved it and so did our canines. We would recommend this to anyone. The cottage was fantastic. The views from the balcony over the welsh countryside were lovely. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay. The owners provided a very warm welcome and an exceptionally generous welcome pack of goodies which we thoroughly enjoyed.

The cottage was brilliant, clean,comfortable and very well equipped. The location was great with good walks and lovely scenery. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to sit out on the decking and enjoy the views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful weeks stay during the very cold snap and snow of January 2025 and we stayed toasty warm with the wonderful log burner and underfloor heating. Being all on one level was easy with our 3 dogs and we enjoyed some lovely walks from the property. The location is not far from the town of Aberystwyth, which has everything you might needRead more. Visiting in early January meant some of the attractions in the area were temporarily closed, but a big highlight of our visit was to observe the starling murmuration at the pier at dusk.
