Situated on the outskirts of Bethlehem's rural village lies this large, detached farmhouse with private hot tub, roaring wood burner and far-reaching views across the Tywi Valley. Surrounded by rich farmland in every direction, this pet-friendly property is the perfect retreat for some peace and tranquility. There's a spacious country-style kitchen, welcoming living area with Smart TV and a separate snug room with games. Enjoy family meals in front of the fire in the dining area before spending the evening star-gazing from the comfort of the hot tub. All three bedrooms look out onto green pasture, with mountains views from the family bathroom. Llwyncelyn is based on a working farm, rearing calves for the dairy farm with the occasional visit from their 'famous' donkeys that live in the shed!

Bethlehem village is around half a mile from the house where you'll find a village hall that opens up as a cafe every Sunday in the Summer months. For convenience, Llangadog village (1 mi) has a post office, butcher, grocery shop and a local pub serving great food. The colourful, picturesque town of Llandeilo is around 15 minutes' by car and home to a fantastic array of local eateries and pubs such as The Cawdor Hotel, Gin Haus Deli and The Plough as well as wonderful independent cafes and stores including Toast, Peppercorn and Heavenly. For some wonderful days out, visit the beautiful grounds of Aberglasney Gardens and The National Botanic Gardens of Wales or marvel at the impressive sights at Dinefwr Park and Carreg Cennen Castle. Slightly further west is the historic market town of Carmarthen, thought to be one of the oldest in Wales, and another hot spot for delis, cafes and boutique stores. Be sure to stop off at Wright's in Llanarthney on the way to the house for some delicious local produce, home-made cakes and sandwiches.

We had a lovely stay in this cottage. Well equipped nice and clean and a lovely welcome package. It is fairly remote which is exactly what we wanted but still not that far to drive to nearest small village. If you want bigger shops there are fairly large CoOps 10-15 minutes away, nearest largest supermarket is around 25 minutes. Brilliant base for Read morewalking in the beautiful welsh countryside and we found there were a fair few other things for the kids to do within 30-40 minutes drive. We loved sitting out in the hot tub under the stars in the evening. Hide

Llwyncelyn is a lovely property situated in very rural surroundings but within a short and easy drive to Llandeilo. Its immediate environment was extremely peaceful which was exactly what we wanted. For trips out, we went to Llyn Y Fan Fach, Castell Carreg Cennen and Gerddi Aberglasne which were all quite nearby. We were extremely fortunate with thRead moree weather and that certainly contributed to the great week we had. Hide

Very quite rural location so suggest bringing shopping with you as basic shops a drive away and they close for lunch. House has everything you need and we were given a generous goodies basket. Confortable beds lovely and big. Just be aware for dog owners low walls so not fully enclosed. We enjoyed our stay there.
