Description
Cricket Cottage is a glorious, beamed period house set right in the heart of picturesque Robertsbridge. Its name makes reference to the Gray Nicolls factory in Robertsbridge which has been making cricket bats since 1876. The Grade II listed cottage, sleeping 6/7, is the perfect place to enjoy a family holiday. It has recently been updated to a high standard with comfortable and stylish furnishings, providing accommodation full of character with all the comforts of modern living. One of the two sitting rooms has a beautiful, working inglenook fireplace, ideal for curling up in front of after a busy day out. The kitchen has everything you need but if you would like someone else to do the cooking, it is only a short walk to the village with its artisan bakery, cafe and fantastic pubs. There are lots of rural walks right from your doorstep and it is only a short drive to historic Battle with its famous battlefield and abbey. There is easy access by road and rail to the seaside town of Hastings, the spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells and there are direct trains to London from the village station. Robertsbridge is a member of the Sussex Bonfire Society which is responsible for a series of bonfire festivals and will definitely help November go off with a spectacular bang!
