It’s a lovely property with a nice feel particularly the main living room with its high wood ceiling and tall windows giving it a comfortable cozy church like peace. It’s quite isolated and surrounded by beautiful countryside which suited us well for a quiet and relaxing break - assisted and fuelled by the generous complimentary wine and beer left by the owners

Mr E,

Beautiful property just a couple of miles out of Battle. Loads of interesting things to do in the area for both adults and kids. Batemans (Kipling's House) was a highlight for us). Excellent hosts - very friendly. And the property itself was stunning both inside and out - large rooms, high ceilings, high quality furnishings, also with lots of outside areas for BBQs and for just lounging in the sun. Steep stairs inside - we have a toddler but she managed fine. Very highly recommended!!! Thank you.

Mr P,

Clean, spacious and a lovely space for friends to enjoy.

Dr H,

Fantastic property - lovely garden, comfortable rooms, great views, all the necessary equipment provided, good location in the countryside but near to Battle and the seaside at Hastings. Very friendly owners living next door. Great post office/shop/cafe and pub a mile or so down the road. Lots of stairs so not good for people with dodgy hips and knees.

Mrs B,

A lovely, super-equipped, quirky property that perfectly suited our family of seven adults. Sadly the bad weather didn't allow us to enjoy the BBQ and the garden or to explore the lovely countryside around Netherfield, but we settled for the cosy, comfortable atmosphere in the Shooting Box Tower. Visits to Battle Abbey, Bodiam Castle and a lovely birthday meal at the Sweet Olive in Battle all contributed to a super stay. We hope to return one day.

Mrs T,
