This self-catering apartment is presented to a very high standard with all the modern home conveniences and fantastic artworks by well-known artists, setting it apart from the rest. A lovely wooden dining table sits contentedly in the beautiful bay window overlooking The Common and the spacious living area is ideal for couples bringing a young child. All on one floor with only two steps up into the property, Far View One is also great for those with reduced mobility looking for a quiet escape whilst in easy walking distance of the town centre. 

This comfortable property is an ideal romantic bolthole if you're looking for a break by the sea. With tranquil views of Southwold Common, beautiful walks right from the doorstep, and sandy stretches of beach nearby, Far View One offers location in which you can both relax and explore. Set within a mile of the bustling high street of this seaside town, there is a lovely selection of independent shops and eateries nearby, as well as Southwold Pier and its historic Lighthouse. Catch a foot ferry over to the village of Walberswick, which runs daily in the summer. There are other beaches nearby too, including Dunwich Beach (9 miles away) and Covehithe (5 miles away). The Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offers a variety of picturesque walks, such as Dunwich Forest or Dunwich Heath (9 miles away).

Far View One and Far View Two are situated next to each other and can be booked together to accommodate groups of four guests. Shop: 400 yards Pub: 350 yards.

Garden: Shared sheltered courtyard with garden furniture (please note garden which overlooks the Common is the owner’s land).
Parking: Private for two small cars or one large car.
Heating: Electric heating.
Notes: Wi-Fi and towels provided. Travel cot and highchair available to use. Please note there are two steps up to the entrance hall from the garden. 

Southwold Central - The properties located in central Southwold are all within minutes of the market place, with the elegant Swan Hotel, an excellent range of small shops including a greengrocers with fresh local produce, family butcher and delicatessen. The upper promenade is ideal for a peaceful stroll at any time of the year and provides quick access to the beach and of course, the lighthouse in the town is a good landmark. There is also easy access to the common and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour with the foot ferry to Walberswick (summer only). Don't forget that the beach is never very far away!

The cottage/apartment had everything we needed except somewhere comfortable to sit.

Overall we liked it a lot including position and design. I'd have a preferred a larger bed and would remove the dresser in favour of arm chairs. The fitted wardrobes were splendid. The low level fridge in the kitchen is difficult to navigate.

This property is supposed to be 4* Consequently we would expect more than one cheap toilet roll and 3 dishwasher tablets!!. It does not represent value for money. We have had better properties for less money with other companies.

Southwold is a great destination and there are plenty of country walks around it. Good local places to visit are The Pier, Walderswick, Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings, Dunwich Beach, Dunwich Heath. The Southwold Lighthouse is worth a tour after which you can spend your voucher on a pint of Adnams in The Sole Bay Inn. If you don't like Adnams you are out of luck!

All the above I wrote is true and sounds rather damning. However, I do think this property can be made more comfortable with the suggestions I have made to the owners. A king sized bed with a comfortable mattress would be ideal. The location is great for Southwold and there is a lovely view from the lounge with some stunning sunsets.

Great location ideal for the town and amenities. A good base to explore the surrounding area. Southwold has great eating places but in high season may get very busy. If parking needed to be shared this could present a problem. Overall we would recommend this property.

A superb apartment in a great location. Comfortable, clean, well equipped, with amazing art works. Wonderful view from the large bay window across the garden and the common beyond. Convenient for the town, harbour and sea front. A car parking space is an added bonus. Would certainly recommend this accommodation.

This is a very good property for a couple in Southwold. My only real gripe was the two ring hob.This was pretty limiting even for the simple meal preparation that we used it for.There is plenty of room for a standard hob so this seems an odd decision. I would certainly be happy to book this property again.
