The popular seaside gem of Aldeburgh is just a 2-mile walk along the coastal pebble path from Thorpeness, with Maggie Hamblin’s Scallop sculpture to be seen en route. As you reach the town, smokehouses and fishing shacks line the beach with fresh seafood in abundance – a must try on your visit!

The cottage was really good for a family getaway, beds were really comfortable

Mr B,

It was a beautiful old house and served our requirements just right. The cafe next door was great for breakfast as well!

Miss R,

Excellent property, good location for varied days out. Cafe on doorstep did super breakfasts and did not spoil cottage appearance.

Mr H,

Lovely house, very clean and beautifully furnished. All the bedrooms had really comfortable beds and excellent quality bedding. Plenty of room for our mixed-age family group.

Mrs H,

This was a very comfortable and spacious house, perfect for our multi generational get together. The bedrooms were all of a very good size, with comfortable beds and lovely bedding. Bathrooms were good, as were towels. The dining room is a beautiful space with a huge table perfect for 8 adults and 3 children. Lovely ambiance for an evening meal. The kitchen was very well equipped with loads of cutlery, plates, glasses and cookware. Comfortable seating outside. Not much space for children to run around but there is a very good park with climbing frame etc just a five minute walk away. All in all a very good base from which to enjoy the Suffolk coastline. We would definitely return.
