Description

This large, two-storey cottage is set just outside Ingram Valley and boasts plenty of social spaces. It would be ideal for a group of fell runners, mountain bikers or ramblers who plan to spend their time exploring the trails less travelled and want to return to a safe, homely environment. The cottage’s location within the Northumberland National Park means that an array of footpaths leading to stunning landmarks are almost on the doorstep. The market towns of Wooler (9 miles) and Alnwick (17 miles) are great for a less active day out, with plenty of local pubs and cafes to try, and Castles to explore.

Inside, the spacious living area has a farmhouse feel, with relaxing seating and dining areas all within the warm embrace of the wood burner – perfect for toasting cold toes after days out on the trails. The kitchen and two separate shower rooms will see plenty of use before and after active days out. The whole of the first floor is taken up by the sleeping quarters, which contain a variety of beds that are partitioned by a handcrafted sliding door for privacy. These comprise one double, two singles, one bunk bed, and a sofa bed for a range of flexible sleeping options.

The area is renowned for being one of the best dark sky regions in the UK, so why not step outside to admire the stars from the patio area with a fortifying drink in hand?

Reviews

Great cottage in a great place. Clean and comfortable. Lots of walks on your doorstep and beautiful views. Warm welcome. A must if you love peace and quiet, walking or cycling and sheep!

Previous Customer,

Great accommodation providing fantastic vistas of the surrounding area - it’s a great space to be off grid and Northumberland is a fantastic county to visit. If isolation and quiet is your thing you will love this

Mr G,

Beautiful secluded and peaceful spot. We loved watching the sheep and lambs in the fields surrounding the cottage. Enjoyed the cosy wood burner on the chilly days and evenings.
