Reviews

After much deliver and comparison I selected this house. Mainly for location and a secure garden for our new dog. The house is decorated and furnished impeccably. Especially the picture over the fire in the front room. Everything you need in utensils, cleaning items etc. it is obvious the owner has spent a lot of money on this property .the bed was wonderfully comfortable and the back garden was mature, secluded and secure. The house is less than ten minutes from the centre of Seahouses and the beach. There is a good coop supermarket and ample eateries. This is the best property I have ever rented so well done.

Mr A,

Lovely cottage in great location with parking straight outside the door. Seahouses if a great base for exploring the lovely surrounding towns, beaches and castles. On arrival the code for the key box did not work - thank goodness the offices work until 8pm. It turns out we were given the old code - this should be pointed out so it doesn't happen again especially if after 8. Lovely décor and high quality furnishings and bed lines, garden looked lovely would be glorious in the summer.

Mrs F,

A cosy and family friendly house in a quiet location and a perfect base for walking to the beach. Excellent walks to St Aidan’s and Bamburgh. Fabulous scenery.

Mrs T,

We had a very nice stay at Nook and it served as a great, comfortable, base for what we wanted. Just 10-15 mins to beach and same into town. Cottage was very cosy and well equipped with comfy sofas and beds.

Mr A,

This is a lovely, very spacious and comfortable cottage in a quiet location. The garden is a gorgeous place to relax and the dog also enjoyed the space. All of the shops, restaurants and other amenities of Seahouses are a 10 minute walk away and we enjoyed many lovely walks around the area. We would definitely recommend this cottage to others and would hope to return in the future.

Mr F,

A comfortable, if somewhat pricey cottage with a lovely garden. Wish the weather had been better! We appreciated the welcome basket of biscuits, emergency milk, tea and coffee. Super comfortable beds and warm quilts.

Mrs D,

A lovely cottage with a beautiful garden. Short walk to Seahouses and good location for visiting other places of interest in the area.

Dr S,

Great little house very comfortable and quiet and only a ten minute walk into seahouses with all the restaurants and bars would highly recommend it

Mr R,

Definitely recommend this property. 5-10 minute walk to Seahouses village and the seafront and 15 minute walk from an amazing beach. The house had everything we needed. The weather was terrible at times as you expect in April, but the log burner along with the radiators made the house lovely and warm. The Garden is lovely and its a shame we couldn't enjoy it more due to the weather. This is a really good base to visit lots of attractions in the area. We were a family of 2 adults, 3 children & a dog. The property is plenty big enough. We could park right outside the property which was ideal. The owners left a binder with useful information in, and it was really useful, pointing us to local attractions, pubs and walks. We would definitely use this property again.

Mr P,

Location

Seahouses & North Sunderland

This charming fishing village on the Northumberland coast is a popular seaside holiday resort and a must for wildlife and nature lovers. Visitors can take boat trips from here around the Farne Islands and spot 150,000 seabirds in their breeding space, an impressive site alongside the grey seals that inhabit the islands. Kids will love Seahouses too. They can spend days playing crazy golf, building sandcastles on the beach, rock pooling, horse riding on the sands or cycling along the coastal pathways.

The Fisherman’s Kitchen is an interesting afternoon out to appreciate historic fishing memorabilia and admire the local catch of the day. No visit is complete without checking out Swallowfish who have one of the original smokehouses and operated on the site since 1843. Their fine offerings of smoked produce are accompanied by a range of fresh seasonal fish from the North Sea.
