Description

This deceptively large, single-storey property on Harbour Road has been finished to a high standard both inside and out. Its homely feel is sure to be a huge draw for a large family that loves to take holidays by (and in) the sea. Water sports lovers will be in the element in Beadnell Bay (0.5 miles), while the 62-mile-long Northumberland Coastal Path (which runs past the bungalow) can take walkers and their four-footed friends to the likes of Bamburgh (5 miles) and Craster (9.5 miles). The picturesque market town of Alnwick, home to a stunning 11th-century castle, is just 14.5 miles away.

Each room in this charming bungalow enjoys plenty of natural light, giving the property a welcoming feel throughout the year. The double-aspect lounge enjoys sea views, comfortable seating and a wood burner, with a dining area to the rear that looks out into the garden. The large kitchen will more than meet the needs of a group of hungry holidaymakers. Further into the bungalow are a family bathroom and three spacious bedrooms: a king-size room at the front; along with an en-suite king-size room and a twin at the rear.

Guests are greeted by an enclosed lawn garden upon arrival at the bungalow, and after exploring its interior they will find themselves in a rear and side garden with lawns and a decked area with garden furniture. With shelter from the sea breeze, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a BBQ after a long day.

  • 3 bedrooms - 2 king-size, 1 twin (not zip-and-link)
  • 2 bathrooms - 1 bathroom with bath, separate walk-in shower and WC, 1 en-suite shower room with WC

Reviews

Immaculately clean, very well equipped with good quality kitchen ware, beautiful thick cosy towels and very comfy beds! Would certainly recommend.

Mrs A,

Cottage was wonderful. Seating and dining area was very comfortable for six adults. The photos don’t do justice to the cottage. It far exceeded our expectations . We had a really lovely Christmas here and the weather was superb for sunrises and sunsets.

Mrs D,

In a great location - the property however is dated and in need of TLC and modernisation However the bedding and bathrooms were clean

Mr P,

Very disappointed with the standard of the property considering it is rated as 5 star. Generally not cleaned to a good standard and the garden was untidy with the grass not having been cut. A lack of adequate cooking utensils, in particular pots and pans made food preparation difficult. The property requires a thorough clean and refurbishment in some areas. Would rate as 3 stars at best

Mr S,

Very comfortable cottage, with everything we needed for our holiday. Plenty of outdoor space, within a secure area, for our dog to be able to run around and burn off some energy.

Mrs C,

Well situated property with good views of sea. Well equipped thou showing signs of wear & tear. We enjoyed our stay in Beadnell & found plenty of places to visit.

Mrs P,

Absolutely loved everything about the bungalow. Very comfortable and lovely to come back to after a day of sightseeing.

Mr W,

The Dells is in an ideal location in a pretty village, but close to Seahouses, just a five minute drive up the road with a range of shops including a co op. It is a lovely cottage, with plenty of living space, benefitting from off road parking for one car. A second car can be parked on the verge in Harbour Road. The garden is a very good size and benefits from lovely garden furniture to relax on and is fully enclosed for dogs. There is easy access to the coastal path for keen walkers. A real home from home, with a well-equipped kitchen, and plenty of sofas to relax on. We had a really good week.

Mrs G,

Beautiful positioned bungalow- very user friendly- we loved it

Mrs W,

A comfortable cottage with a secure garden for the dog

Mr N,

Nice big bungalow in a great location, big garden for kids to play in, nice decking for a sunny days relaxation, can't fault it.

Mr G,

A gorgeous property in a beautiful location. Just let down a bit with the cleanliness on arrival. The bedding and towels were all pristine, just the general cleanliness let it down unfortunately... dusty skirting and blinds. The dishwasher wasn't clean, and the washer was filthy around the door seals. Wouldn't put us off coming back at all- just better if cleaner. The owner was fabulous, helping us promptly with a couple of issues we had...very impressive customer service. Thank you.

Mr G,

We’ve stayed in lots of cottages in Beadnell the Dells is my new favourite.

Ms D,

Excellent cottage. Very roomy. Great for enjoying the scenery and the tranquility. But also close to all the amenities and attractions.

Mr C,

Cottage was lovely the issue of having not heat when required meant we had to leave also I have require full terms and conditions of holiday and full complaints policy and procedures I fully intend to take this further unless resolved we paid in good faith as we have many times before and would like the right thing to be done which I have requested prior

Mr W,

A lovely property that was even better than the pictures. We had Christmas in there and the kitchen was perfectly laid out making cooking an enjoyable experience. The lounge diner was more spacious than expected but still felt cosy. Quality furnishings and wonderful views. Thank you for a wonderful week.

Mrs T,

Location

Beadnell

Beadnell is located on the Northumberland Coastal Path, which is a favoured spot of dog walkers, should you decide to bring your four-legged friend along on your jollies. You can pick up the path anywhere and tailor the length of your walk to exactly what suits you, but we highly recommend the walk from Beadnell to Craster Harbour. Starting in Beadnell Harbour, the route follows the trail of the Northumberland Coastal Path, along the coast to Snook Point and through Low Newton By-the-Sea, from where you can see amazing views of Dunstanburgh Castle. The walk is completely dog-friendly and is a fantastic way to explore this part of the sandy Northumbrian coast.

If you decide to stay in Beadnell, we guarantee you’ll spend lots of time on the beach, which is undoubtedly one of Northumberland’s finest. Beadnell Bay is sublime all year round, but there’s a particular buzz around here during the summertime. Watersports are very popular at Beadnell Bay, as the bay can produce swells of up to 15 feet, it is well loved by surfers and bodyboarders. With local businesses doing group sessions and the ability to hire equipment, you can try your hand at a range of watersports including wakeboarding, waterskiing, surfing, bodyboarding, diving, snorkelling, windsurfing and kitesurfing. Local watersport centers include Boards and Bikes and Northside Surf School. The middle and the south of the bay are the best spots for surfing as the North end is protected by the harbour.  Beadnell is such a friendly place, with amazing local attractions, eateries and more, making it the perfect holiday destination.
