Description

A graceful stone cottage overlooking a quaint courtyard, situated by the tranquil Seahouses Harbour and within easy reach of the Northumbrian Coast. This peaceful hideaway is perfect for small families and groups of friends. Stroll along the harbour and listen to the fisherman’s boats clinking in the water, 200 metres away, or sail to the nearby Farne Island and spot the local colonies of grey seals and puffins. Embrace the salty coastal breeze and saunter along the sandy stretch of beach at Bamburgh, 3 miles, then refuel at one of the charming maritime pubs.

This is a chic, open-plan property with spacious rooms, crisp design features, and bespoke touches. Step through the porch to the lounge/dining area where you can kick off your shoes, sink into the plush sofa, and unwind with a good movie and nibbles after a day of bracing beach winds. Whip up some treats in the modern kitchen, well equipped for all your catering needs. The sleeping areas are located on the first floor, consisting of a relaxing king-size room with oak storage and a desk area, and an adaptable king-size/twin room with sloped ceilings and wooden beams. There is also a large family bathroom with a heated towel rail on the first floor.

Grab a good book and recline on the small bistro set in the shared courtyard outside.

Reviews

Location was perfect, especially if you don't drive , a stones throw away from the many shops , bars and eateries that Seahouses have to offer. Lovely cozy cottage, some delicious treats on arrival, and some basics; ample for a week's stay.

Mrs T,

Excellent cottage - well equipped and ideal location.

Mr V,

Lovely cottage in an excellent location.

Mrs E,

The cottage was really very good in all areas: comfort, location, equipment. Everything you needed for a great holiday.

Mrs L,

We spent a very pleasant 4 nights in Kipper cottage. We found the property well equipped & comfortable with plenty of space for the 4 of us. The cottage is well placed to access all that Seahouses offers & is very close to the harbour which was great for an evening walk. In Seahouses we would recommend Lewis's fish & chip shop & Insieme italian restaurant. We also would highly recommend Indian Brasserie, the food was very good & the staff were friendly & efficient. The coastal walks are easily accessed from the property to get to Bamburgh, Beadnall & beyond. All in all a great place to stay & enjoy Northumberland.

Mrs B,

A lovely and comfortable cottage in a fabulous location. So convenient for everything with the added bonus of being able to use the Ocean Club facilities.

Mrs R,

A lovely little cottage in an excellent position close to the harbour with two dedicated parking place. Excellent pub just minutes away Black Swan. The food, cocktails and staff are all superb. Boat trips highly recommended especially during the breeding season.

Mrs L,

A lovely, homely cottage which is a perfect base for exploring the Northumberland cost.

Mrs H,

The cottage is in a perfect location, and is clean and tidy. Creaky floorboards were an issue, but probably not easily rectified now that carpets have been laid. There is also a leak from the shower screen which means the bathroom floor is always wet especially when there are 3 of you using the shower daily.

Mrs H,

Clean, warm and comfortable, good location.

Mr L,

Lovely cottage, perfect location to walk in to seahouses. The cottage was cosy and the bedrooms were well laid out. Nice touch with the coffee / tea and milk left when we arrived too. Honestly can’t fault this lovely cottage.
