Description

This stone-built, contemporary four-bedroom property boasts a games room and distant sea views, nestled in a quiet spot in North Sunderland close to the heart of Seahouses. The popular market town of Seahouses is synonymous with fishing, both as charming as it is captivating. Take a peaceful walk around Seahouses fishing harbour 1 mile away before hopping aboard a boat trip out to the nearby Farne Islands – the most famous seabird sanctuary in the British Isles, home to a plethora of wildlife including a large colony of grey seals and puffins. Explore the horseshoe-shaped crescent of golden sand at Beadnell Bay 3 miles away, with ideal conditions for kitesurfing, kayaking, windsurfing and wakeboarding. Discover one of the country’s finest coastal fortresses and take a walk through thousands of years of history at Bamburgh Castle, 3.5 miles away.

An entrance hallway welcomes you into the property and leads into a spacious lounge complete with beautiful Karndean flooring, two comfy leather sofas, a matching leather armchair and a Smart TV. The adjoining kitchen/diner is well-equipped with everything you may need to cater, with a quirky window hatch into the orangery. The orangery boasts a large dining table with lots of natural light from the surrounding windows, sky-light and bi-fold doors to the garden.  The first floor features a king-size and double bedroom both as well-presented as the ground floor, which both also benefit from en-suite shower rooms. You’ll also find a family bathroom, a 4’ double bedroom and a final bedroom featuring two single beds (with the use of a full size topper can be made into a super king upon request) on this level. Extending along the full length of the property, the second floor comprises a second lounge with plenty of comfortable seating, and a games room complete with a pool table, both benefiting from Velux windows perfectly positioned on the characterful sloping ceiling.

The bi-fold doors from the orangery open out onto a sheltered patio garden, enclosed by wooden fencing and landscaped hedging, providing the perfect private spot to dine alfresco or stargaze long into the evening. A delightful first-floor balcony provides the best-elevated spot to admire the surroundings and views of the sea in the distance. Outside, you also have access to the garage which houses a utility area with laundry appliances as well as an additional fridge and freezer.

We've stayed in many cottages in Seahouses and have to say this has been the best so far great quiet area big comfy cottage with everything you need even for a rainy day we will stay again you get what you pay for what more can I say excellent in every way Thank-you

Mr S,

Very spacious and comfortable cottage, with plenty of room for three generations under the one roof. We loved the large dining area, so bright and airy. We also played a lot of pool in the loft and my kid brought a computer console which we plugged into the TV up there. The location was brilliant, just over 10 min walk into Seahouses with a good range of shops and take aways. Would highly recommend for families. Brilliant!

Mrs W,

Mrs L,

We had a lovely weeks stay the house was in a perfect location Seahouses is lovely we were able to visit other areas not far away definitely recommend Alnwick Gardens which also had a Magical place called Liliador for the children. The facilities were great plenty of room .The only small issue we had we asked for twin room to be made into one after a phone call within 30mins someone came and changed it very efficient. We have already recommended to family and friends and would definitely go back. Weather was a bonus.
