Description

A cosy, stone-built property sleeping four is a lovely spot for a family or group of friends to enjoy a holiday on the beautiful North Northumberland Heritage Coast. A sweeping crescent of golden sand is within a 300-metre stroll, and the unspoiled village has two pubs and a fish and chip shop. The sheltered beach is perfect for building sandcastles, and a favourite for water sports enthusiasts of all ages. Admire the colourful fishing boats in the harbour where fishermen return with catches of wild salmon. Keen walkers can enjoy some of the finest routes in the country on the glorious Northumberland Coast Path, which begins in Beadnell and continues on towards Bamburgh Castle. Catch a boat from Seahouses (1.5 miles) to the Farne Islands, home to puffins, terns and a large colony of seals. Visit Bamburgh (5 miles) to see its magnificent castle and the Grace Darling Museum.

A large window and French doors to the courtyard garden make the living room a light and pleasant spot where you can relax on the comfortable three-seater sofa and matching armchair to watch TV or curl up with a book. The streamlined, compact kitchen has an elegant dining table with four chairs and there is a handy ground-floor WC. Upstairs are two pretty bedrooms, both with charming wrought-iron period-style beds and furnished in soft tones. One is a double with a TV and the other a spacious twin. A sleek family bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, a spacious courtyard garden with flowers is enclosed by old stone walls and has a table and chairs—perfect for a fish and chip supper.

Reviews

Lovely little cottage. Very clean. Beautifully decorated. Short walk to the beach. Ideal for a couple

Mrs L,

Very clean and well equipped. Only two of us so plenty of room. Location unsurpassed: in the heart of the village, very quiet, just a stroll to the pubs/restaurants, cafes, and shop. Take a torch unless sunsets are late. On the bus route to Seahouses/Bamburgh/Craster. 5-10 minute walk to Beadnell Beach one way, and to a great swimming cove the other way (behind the shop). 12 minute easy cycle ride to Seahouses.

Dr H,

Our second visit to Cuthbert's Cottage and no doubt we will be back! Perfect location for facilities and beach. A relaxing stay, most enjoyable.

Booking up for next year. Beautiful cottage.

Mr K,

We loved the location, the walk to the beaches and the various restaurants/pubs, all dog friendly. The cottage is really clean and well equipped, a home from home. We would love to come back again to lovely Beadnell.

Mrs G,

From stepping into the property, you could tell it was going to be a pleasant experience. The smell of fresh paint hit your nostrils, crossing the threshhold. Is was so clean and interior so well laid out. The use of space was excellent. Great too, having a downstairs loo. Shame the weather wasn't up to being able to utilise the (although quite small) enclosed outdoor patio area... It must be great in summer to chill, bbq & dine Al fresco. It has a brilliant postion in the village...being a 2 mins slow walk to the Craster Arms & Beadnell towers. 5, at m9st to the village shop..15/ 20 minute walk to the beach and the Landing ( lovely place to have breakfast, a cuppa, a beer/ wine or dine.

Mr F,
