Reviews

Overall a nice to stay

Mr S,

Clean little cottage absolutely brilliant location literally 30 seconds to the harbour and the pub

Mr S,

Clean comfortable accommodation well situated

Mr F,

Very clean, comfortable and cozy cottage with everything you need for a lovely stay in a perfect spot. We had a fantastic week and would definitely return.

Mr K,

A lovely clean and compact cottage a short walk from the harbour. Ideal for the 2 of us and our dogs

Mr B,

We wanted somewhere very quiet and comfortable, near the sea but within 5 minutes walking distance of all the amenities. This cottage fitted the bill nicely. Seahouses has lots of choice for eating out, artisan shops and gift shops too, Good places to visit near by, such as Farne Islands, Lindisfarne (Holy Island) Bamburgh Castle/village and Alnwick Gardens and Castle. Also right on the coastal path if you're a walker. You are warned that getting into the parking spot is tight. We have a large estate car and managed to get in and out of the parking area without a problem.

Mr S,

Ideal position in Seahouses. With what said above would reccomend.

Ms G,

Comfortable bed, good kitchen facilities. Comfortable sitting area. Bathroom too small with flimsy shower door. Entrance through arch very difficult in my wide car.

Mr W,

We had a lovely stay at no 6 . The location is perfect as it's was a few minutes from pubs and shops and right next to a coastal path. Clean and well equipped.

Mrs C,

This cottage was very clean and comfortable and ideally situated. The advantage of the enclosed verandah is great for the dog to sit outside.

Mr L,

This was our second visit and yet again we had a great stay. It is well situated for touring the neighbouring countryside.

Mrs W,

A clean, well kept property that is the perfect spot for exploring Northumberland. The location is fantastic and was super quiet at night. The pictures of the living space were not particularly accurate as the kitchen has been modernised which is fantastic but it is generally smaller than I expected and there is no longer an electric fire. We had a lovely time at the cottage with our 1.5 year old son and our dog.

Mrs T,

Location

Seahouses HarbourOnly 50 yards outside the courtyard and you are on the top of the harbour wall, where seating is provided so you can while away the hours watching the toings and froings of harbour life, or stretch your legs on the beautiful beaches which run North and South and are ideal for leisurely walks, or for those more adventurous try the 6 mile return beach walk to Bamburgh, or the 14 mile return journey to Newton by the Sea (great pub awaits for the mid walk break).
The cottage is close to all the village amenities - shops, butchers, bakers (no candlestick maker tho), pubs & restaurants, newsagents, petrol station, library, resource centre for internet access, takeaways, and the harbour where you can leave on excursions to visit the Farne Islands, to see Puffins (June & July), Grey Seals and many other species of birds. The area is popular with birdwatchers and photographers.
Just 2.5 miles up the coast by road is Bamburgh and its wonderful castle on a rocky outcrop overlooking the beach, and 15 miles south you'll find Alnwick Castle and Garden a popular spot for those with green fingers, and Harry Potter fans (the castle was Hogwarts and the site of the quiddich pitch in the 1st two films).
