Description

A courtyard of four 1 bedroom holiday cottages in the old fishing quarter of Seahouses

Close to the harbour and ideally situated for the amenities of the village, beach walks and other outdoor activities.

Only 50 yards outside the courtyard and you are on the top of the harbour wall, where seating is provided so you can while away the hours watching the toings and froings of harbour life, or stretch your legs on the beautiful beaches which run North and South and are ideal for leisurely walks, or for those more adventurous try the 6 mile return beach walk to Bamburgh, or the 14 mile return journey to Newton by the Sea (great pub awaits for the mid walk break).

The cottage is close to all the village amenities - shops, butchers, bakers (no candlestick maker though!), pubs & restaurants, newsagents, petrol station, library, takeaways, and the harbour where you can leave on excursions to visit the Farne Islands, to see Puffins (June & July), Grey Seals and many other species of birds. The area is popular with birdwatchers and photographers.

Just 2.5 miles up the coast by road is Bamburgh and its wonderful castle on a rocky outcrop overlooking the beach, and 15 miles south you'll find Alnwick Castle and Garden, a popular spot for those with green fingers and Harry Potter fans (the castle was Hogwarts and the site of the quidditch pitch in the 1st two films).

Reviews

The cottage is within walking distance to the shops. The dining table situated at the window was a great place to sit and watch the birds . The bed was so comfortable and had a great sleep every night.

Mrs S,

I scored 3 on the website property information because it showed that the property had two settees which was ideal for us but when we arrived there was only one which restricted us as I have servere arthritis apparently your showing old pictures on your site the whole place has been altered and redecorated who’s is misleading by you. Also there was no waste bin for rubbish etc and on,y one waste bag.. Also the wi fii password was incorrect on the itinerary and we had to call you for a password which we got.

mr Alan H,

Well equipped cottage in a perfect location

Mrs Lesley C,

Excellent location and facilities

Mrs Norma G,

Property very small and basic.

Mrs Karen W,

Warm and comfortable nice big comfortable bed could provide an oven cloth but otherwise everything you need and the dogs loved it!
